In his “Strain Gang” column, Herbert Fuego sings the praises of TGS Presidential Kush, one of our award-winning stains that took first place in both the 2014 High Times Cannabis Cup (People’s Choice Cup) and the 2014 The Hemp Connoisseur Awards (Best Adult Use Indica).

Fuego devotes his entire column to a flattering discussion of both versions of Presidential Kush, the OG Kush x Bubblegum cross, as well as the TGS version, which is a cross of OG Kush and Lemon Skunk. The differences are notable, with the Bubblegum cut having a sedative and relaxing indica effect, and the TGS variant providing a more balanced high thanks to the Lemon Skunk’s sativa-leaning genetics. As far as flavor, he describes the TGS cut as reflecting both parents, with an initial lemony citrus taste followed by the distinctive OG Kush earthy pine flavor. This contrasts with the Bubblegum Presidential’s hashy, creamier flavor.

Fuego writes, “The sativa-dominant version starts with a euphoric head buzz that really attacks the peripheral vision, followed by a relaxing body high that usually sedates users within two hours. It’s recommended for nausea, pain, and stress, and it’s great before dinner, or breakfast on a lazy Sunday.”

If you haven’t tasted The Green Solution’s Presidential Kush yet, this should provide the motivation to do so. As a multi-cup winner that consistently generates praise by cannabis aficionados and critics alike, it is a legitimate heavyweight in the TGS catalogue of buds. Put it on your short list of strains to try today!
