This is Halloween

Halloween is nearly upon us, and The Green Solution® has put together a list of five spooktacular Colorado events to fill your dark and scary nights (and days) through the rest of October. You’re bound to find something delightful and/or frightful here!

  • The Eye Ball. TGS recently expanded our family of stores to Fort Collins, so we’ve included what promises to be a “hauntingly good time” in that fair city. The Eye Ball is the annual fundraiser gala for the Ensight Skills Center, an organization that provides services to the visually impaired. The Ball will be held on Friday, October 27th, from 6:30 to 11 p.m, at the Agave Room located in Old Town Fort Collins (less than a mile from TGS!). Be sure to get to the Ball by 9:00 to participate in the costume contest – 1st prize is $125!
  • Woof in Boots 6th Annual Howlin’ Halloween Pet Costume Party. Is there anything better than a dog in a costume? We think not. This party for you and your pooch is a benefit for the Maxfund Animal Adoption Center, and will be well worth the $20 suggested donation. The event’s Facebook page encourages you to “Bring ye pets, spirits and children to gather ’round the cauldron of drool within the shadowy halls of Woof in Boots.” There’ll be a costume contest for both pets and their people, and, my friends, there will be Bobbing for Hotdogs. The party happens on Friday, October 27th from 7 to 10 p.m. at 719 W. 8th Ave, Denver – less than three miles from The Green Solution at 2601 W. Alameda Avenue. Looking for a quick costume for Fido? We recommend a Fetching Fashions Bow Tie specially made for your best friend and available at TGS.
  • Emma Crawford Coffin Races and Festival. You won’t find a more uniquely Colorado event than this. The 23rd Annual iteration of this celebration of Emma Crawford’s life – and death – will take place on October 28th from 12 – 4 p.m. in Manitou Springs. If you’re heading south from Denver, stop into The Green Solution on your way out of town for some edibles to enhance your experience.
  • Mile High Haunted Tours. Do you like a good scare? Then get on the bus! On the last two weekends of October, cannabis consumption-friendly busses will depart from both the Edgewater and Potomac locations of The Green Solution at 8:00 and take guests on a tour of five of Denver’s most haunted locations. Tickets for the tour departing from 350 Potomac are available here and for the tour departing from 6020 W. 20th Ave in Edgewater are available here. Prepare to be petrified!
  • Gari Safari. The Green Solution is excited to bring a jungle-themed party featuring Anabel Englund, Human Life, Matt Ossentjuk, and Mont Blvck to The Church on Halloween. Come decked out in your most outrageous costume, vibe to some killer music with your friends, and experience surprise art activations for a wild night to remember. Tickets available here.

Happy Halloween!
