Originating as Titi Boi in the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, 2 Chainz was born in College Park, Georgia. Perhaps best known for being signed to Ludacris’ Disturbing Tha Peace label before going solo, 2Chainz has always been known for his catchy hooks and slick southern rhyme scheme.
After multiple successful mixtapes, the Southern rapper exploded onto the hip-hop scene once again in 2010, launching his solo career with songs like “Where U Been” and “No Lie.” It was in 2012, after signing to the Def Jam label that the southern rapper dropped his first official album Based on a T.R.U. Story and has since been featured on songs with popular artists such as Kanye West, Big K.R.I.T., Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and more. Since his signing to the Def Jam Label, 2 Chainz has won four different Grammy Awards, including three in 2013 for “Best Rap Song,” “Best Rap Performance,” and “Best Rap Album.”
