What were you doing five years ago this week? The year was 2012, so you were probably dancing to Gangnam style and waiting for the world to end as the Mayan calendar predicted it would (remember that?). But in the realm of cannabis and Colorado, it’s what Governor Hickenlooper was doing that was truly noteworthy.
On December 10, 2012, the Governor quietly signed into law Amendment 64, making “legal the personal use, possession and limited home-growing of marijuana under Colorado law for adults 21 years of age and older.” In those five years, millions of tax dollars have been raised from cannabis sales and the rate of teens using cannabis has dropped dramatically. At The Green Solution®, we think that’s a reason to celebrate.
Give yourself (or an adult friend) the traditional five-year anniversary present – something wooden! If you’re a fan of concentrates, we suggest the Honey Dabber II, which features a titanium straw with a wooden sleeve. If flower is more your thing, try the Elevate Dugout – it’s produced in Denver, features a magnetized lid and glass chillum, and holds up to two grams of cannabis. Your favorite cannabis consumer (and hey, maybe that’s you) will be delighted that you remembered their five year anniversary.
