Are you ready for summer festival season? We’ve got a great one for your first post-solstice weekend. On Saturday, head to the Golden Triangle for the Westword Music Showcase, the largest festival celebrating the Denver music scene. You’ll be able to see dozens of local bands as well as headliners Shakey Graves, The Revivalists, Cut Copy, Bob Moses, COIN, and ARIZONA while enjoying the Denver sunshine.
Westword determined the lineup of local acts by polling more than 200 “movers and shakers in the music business.” Over 800 bands were nominated. That number got cut to roughly 200 finalists, and about half of them made the lineup for the festival. There are eight participating venues and two outdoor stages, and the music starts at noon and lasts until 10 p.m. That’s a lot of music for the price of one ticket.
The weather should be perfect for this musical extravaganza, but if you get too warm and just need to chill, get on the TGS Bus. That’s right, we’ll be there with free schwag, AC, and water to help you enjoy your festive day. While you’re on the bus, sign up to win one of six $50 TGS gift cards. With The Green Solution’s® great prices, $50 goes a long way.
We’ll be parked on Bannock between 11th and 12th Avenue from noon to 8 p.m. Come get on the bus. We’ll see you there.
