Raised in England away from his brothers Ziggy and Damian, the son of the great reggae legend Bob Marley still provides one of the greatest reggae performances to be seen. Spending much of his childhood between England and Jamaica did not have an impact on his becoming one of the greatest reggae performers of all time. Becoming involved with Ghetto Youth International, a production company, Julian Marley released a solo album and went on a world tour with Lollapalooza in 1997. His third album, Awake, was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category. More recently, Julian Marley has performed at the Mawazine festival in Morocco and a reggae concert in Bangladesh.
