You may have noticed that The Green Solution® has changed the way we package our flower. Have you wondered why? Simply put, it’s all about being fresh and green – both good things. Our nifty new containers utilize nitrogen packaging. If you’re like me, you may wonder what the heck that even means. Here’s the story.
Let’s start with air. You may think, like I did, that the air we breathe is composed mostly, if not entirely, of oxygen. Turns out that’s not true. It’s actually about 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% other gasses. The oxygen in air promotes the growth of yeast, mold, and bacteria – and you don’t want to smoke any of that. It also leads to oxidation, which degrades freshness and flavor. Jars and bags only block out some of that oxygen. Our new nitrogen packaging blocks out nearly all of it, keeping your flower fresher longer. And, bonus! Each label has a removable sticker letting you know what strain you have. Place that on your own jar when you’re ready to remove the flower from its original packaging, and you’ll always know exactly what fine TGS strain you’re smoking.
Not only does the new packaging keep your flower fresher, it’s better for the environment, too. When comparing our new packaging for ½ ounce of flower with four 1/8 ounce jars, there’s 93% less plastic. That means less waste, keeping our world a little bit greener.
