Suicidal Tendencies

Suicidal Tendencies is a thrash metal band hailing from Venice, California. Founded in 1980 by vocalist Mike Muir, the band is often touted as the “father of crossover thrash” and has released 12 studio albums. Although Mike Muir is the only living member of the group, Suicidal Tendencies has certainly had a wild ride along the way entertaining fans from around the globe.

The group released their self-titled debut album in 1983 with great success. Their single, “Institutionalized” was one of the first hardcore punk videos to frequent MTV and most recently was featured in the Guitar Hero video game series.

Never afraid of controversy, the band and its large community of devout followers have been touring the globe ever since the inception of the band, even though Mike Muir is the only remaining original member. While the band has experienced a variety of different members and musical influences funnel through over the years, their unique flavor of thrash metal has remained a staple of modern era hardcore music.
